Our Services
Families
Every family, and every child, is different. We don’t tick boxes.
At First Hand Auslan, we work closely with clients and their families to create and lead a language learning journey designed to meet the specific needs of each individual.
Early-stage, face-to-face sessions with ongoing strategies and support for families with kids living with deafness.
In addition to visiting your home to implement an individually tailored program, we connect with other educational settings such as kindergarten or childcare, creating a consistent and integrated approach.
This strengthens the child's journey, encouraging their learning and enhancing educational experiences.
Extend your child, expand your tribe, and then exhale. Because you’ve got this.

“Location doesn’t matter. Add a little technology to our empathy-led first-hand experience and extensive education, and together we’ll soar!”
Events
From both experience and exposure, at First Hand, we see the desire from a range of people wanting to build positive connections with others and feel supported in the community. This has led us to design/create/set up local events in Geelong connecting individuals, families, and groups through Auslan.
Dinners, family events & social opportunities for all Auslan users; each of these events provide interrelation within our community.
“ Our goal is to facilitate language, identity, and belonging in individuals to help them soar to their best”.
See our Events page for an event near you.
Schools & Organisations
“Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny” - C.S Lewis.
One of the most engaging and empowering ways to support others, particularly influential school-aged children, is to share real-life experiences and stories.
Renee presents her personal experience sharing her journey, the decisions she faced; her resilience, life-altering changes, and successes, in a powerful and honest way.
With consultation, we can adapt and cater to the audience to tailor the most appropriate and captivating presentation.
